Get down to town and buy yourself some sparklers! It is the best time of the year again, it is nearly fireworks night (Remember, remember the 5th of November and all that). We have carefully crafted our top five events that are on in Birmingham over the next week. Please note that some of the events you will need to buy tickets for online in advance to guarantee yourself entry.
THURSDAY NOVEMBER 1st 2018
Fireworks at The Vale, University of Birmingham
Jump on the train at New Street and take a 7 minute journey to University (of Birmingham). Bring a few bevs and sit on the grass at the vale and watch the fireworks over the lake.
Tickets are FREE!
Fairground open from 7pm
Fireworks start at 9pm

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 3rd 2018
Fireworks Go Boom @ West Midlands Travel Sports and Social, Wheelers Lane, Kings Heath
This is unknown territory from me but I know many of you live out by Bordesley/Moseley even if you’re in Edgbaston/Selly you can jump in an Uber to get over to this event.
£5 tickets (Available on entry)
Fairground opens at 5pm
Perks: All proceeds are given to local charities
Edgbaston Fireworks Spectacular, Edgbaston Stadium
Get a group together and walk down to Edgbaston Cricket Stadium if you want to see a huge display of fireworks. You can sit in the stands, so make sure you wrap up warm as this is a cold night out.
£10 tickets (buy in advance via their website)
Fairground from 5.30 – 10pm
Fireworks display at 7.45pm
Note: No admittance after 6.45pm
Perks: Face paint, fairground, food and bevs (until 10pm)
Sunday November 4th 2018
Kings Health Cricket and Sports Club
A personal favourite, this event takes place on a large cricket pitch in King’s Heath. There are lots of other adults and families there so you will feel like you have left the city student life for a couple of hours.
£5 tickets (Avaliable on entry)

Perks: Smaller, family feel event
Monday November 5th 2018
Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Edgbaston
For a different, more up-market evening, spend an hour looking at these gardens and the amazing glasshouses, then relax on The Terrace to watch the firework display over the main garden.
£8 tickets (includes entry to the grounds during the Saturday daytime)
